A Regime That Cannot Tolerate Criticism Ending Political Terror, Reviving Civilized Politics Hello, everyone! Today, I want to discuss an important question: Why is the Chinese Communist Party so afraid of political dissent and different voices? When we examine the CCP’s treatment of political dissidents, we see a recurring pattern: an unwillingness to tolerate public criticism, the suppression of opposing views, and the use of fear to silence those who dare to speak out. This reminds me of certain psychological patterns associated with narcissistic traits—an excessive need for control, an inability to tolerate criticism, and a tendency to perceive disagreement as a personal attack. When similar patterns emerge within a system of political power, the consequences go far beyond personal conflicts. They can lead to the suppression of freedom of expression, the persecution of political dissidents, and a society in which people become afraid to speak their minds. The more a regime fears its own people questioning its authority, the more it reveals its fear of losing control. A confident and civilized political system should allow citizens to criticize their government, support different political ideas, and express their dissatisfaction peacefully. A government is not a god beyond question. A political party is not a master standing above the people. Citizens have the right to ask fundamental questions: Where does political power come from? What limits should be placed on that power? And when those in power make mistakes, how can the people hold them accountable? These questions should never be forbidden. They should form the foundation of civilized politics. Today, I want to send a clear message to the world: China must move beyond political terror, abandon hostility toward dissent, and end the political culture that treats critics as enemies. Let those in power learn to accept criticism! Let governments be held accountable by the people! Let different opinions be respected! A truly civilized society does not require everyone to think alike. It requires that everyone have the freedom to express their own opinions. End political terror! Defend freedom of speech! Revive civilized politics! Thank you!
