isn't it because of " rabbit starvation" rabbit meat is so lean u may loose weight just trying to process it in ur body. it disent contain enough fatty protein to even be worth the effort

Being why you don’t want to constantly eat rabbit meat is because you can get protein poisoning from consuming too much rabbit meat. That is why it’s not commercially available in grocery stores

To be fair you need to compare rabbits to chickens. The recipes are almost identical and there are more similar in taste.

it's the fact that they have almost no fat, and the missing fat is what kills you. so in theory, if you have extra animal fat, could you survive off of it?

I personally don't want to try it because I can't get over the mental hurdle. and it's such a weird thing because I'm willing to try so many other things including horse. shark. bear. and all sorts of sea life even isopods but rabbit just. idk it's not even the fact it's a cute little animal. something about looking at the meat itself grosses me out

its really bland for a meat and it ends up tasting like the pot, to me you can easily replace it with tofu and it would taste the same and the texture would be better (rabbit is the ONLY meat I will say tofu is a great replacement for)

It’s because rabbit are seasonal to kill. Because usually during the summer times when it’s hot they can carry diseases called worbles. Happens to squirrels as well. Also u need more rabbit to feed yourself than cow. You’d have to catch like 10 rabbits to feed a family of five while u can use one pack of hamburger meat to do it

I remember buying frozen rabbit from my Smiths grocery store 15 years ago. Thought it was weird they had it but what the hell time to try something new. Had rabbit stew. It wasn’t bad at all
