I have RA and it’s definitely not for the weak. My hands go numb in my sleep waking up with pins and needles is no fun. Also can’t feel anything for the first like 5 or so minutes. Yes over use is a factor so is being double jointed in your fingers. 2016 was when I was told I have beginning stages. I worked as a phlebotomist and a vet assistant for most of my life so it’s bound to happen. I have not been able too find a an RA doctor that is accepting new patients. The struggle is real.

i did the shots then in February of this year I had the release surgeries on both hands. I had to go to PT to desensitize my hands. they are doing wonderful now.

I have pSA and probable RA. Ive had bilateral carpal tunnel with surgery, cubital tunnel with surgery, trigger finger in multiple fingers on both hands. knee surgery, lower back surgery and varying severity facet joint arthritis in most all segments of my spine. also have severe hip and shoulder arthritis. Takes a while to work the stiffness out each morning. I'm probably doing better than many with even more joint issues.

I do this it helps me but just lately I've been having inflammation in my fingers but a lot of people say it not good for our bodies 😔 so I'm damned if I do or if I don't 😩

I mentioned the wrist tendonitis to my previous rheumatologist (i have polyarticular jia) and she was so casual about reminding me that my inflammatory disease doesnt just go after joints. It was such a oh, right, I forgot, moment. That was the same appointment I found out your ulnar styloid isn't supposed to be spongy.

I have RA. Bilateral carpel tunnel & cubital tunnel (elbows). I had no idea they could do steroid shots for it! How long have you been doing them? Is it worth it?

I had this done on my left wrist ( right wrist was already operated on) and all it did was make my hand and wrist extremely sensitive to cold I get more relief from getting this injection in my neck for the nerve pain associated with the TOS I also have

Be careful with the steroid shots. My Surgeon for carpal tunnel told me he would never do more than 3 on a patient due to risk of a tendon rupturing
