There’s no missing dollar 😭 The 3 people paid $27 total, but that $27 already includes the $2 the bellhop kept! So $25 went to the hotel + $2 to the bellhop = $27. Add the $3 returned to the people and you get the original $30. You’re not supposed to add the $2 to $27 again

ermm!!! before they got the $3 back they each payed 9.33 not 9 bc 25 isn't an even number, so 9.33x3 equals to about the $25 and then add the $3 then makes it 28, then finally add the last $2 to make it 30
