I think destiny is wrong here. It's not that people don't care - it's that nobody has a solution. Smarter people than you, me, him, her - whoever, has tried to solve this conflict forever. Its thousands of years old, and either party won't rest until one has eradicated the other. There is no solution. Doesn't mean people don't sympathize or care. It's the most complicated conflict on earth.

eh i think that’s a bit disingenuous, there are plenty of reasonable reactions- and things that can be done, to push for a retraction of israel’s ongoing campaign. I agree a lot of people use that as a make/break for voting, as if any candidate wouldn’t support Israel at large.
