In the only face-off of the New York governor's race on Tuesday, Kathy Hochul tried to blame President Trump for New York's crushing utility bills — and Bruce Blakeman buried her with her own record. Donald Trump did not raise utility rates 48 times. She did. Donald Trump did not increase utility bills by 50% since she became governor. She did. Blakeman drove it home: only about thirty percent of a New York energy bill is energy — the rest is Hochul taxes and her green slush fund. His plan is Pennsylvania's plan: tap American natural gas, kill the green scam, and cut utility bills in half. Hochul mentioned Trump more than a dozen times. Blakeman mentioned her record. New Yorkers know which one pays their bills.
