@the_aminah1: If you had told me some years ago that I would be on this journey towards covering more fully, I probably wouldn’t have imagined how much it would mean to me today. Not because I have perfected my Deen, nor because I have it all figured out, but because I know what it feels like to be on this journey of striving, unlearning, and becoming better for the sake of Allah. One of the reasons I choose to share my progress here is to remind other sisters that change is possible. This page has always been a part of that journey, and those who have been here for a while can attest to the growth, the little steps, and the progress over time. Alhamdulillah. To the sister who is struggling, who desires to dress more modestly but is finding it difficult, or who has started taking steps towards covering more fully: please don’t give up on yourself. You don’t have to be perfect to begin, and you don’t have to get everything right overnight. Keep striving, keep making du’a, keep asking Allah to make obedience beloved to your heart, and keep taking those steps. Don’t let the fear of not being perfect stop you from pursuing what you know is pleasing to Allah. And don’t let the pace of someone else’s journey discourage you from yours. May Allah make us steadfast, beautify us with modesty, make obedience beloved to our hearts, and grant us the strength to keep striving until we meet Him. May Allah accept our efforts and guide us to what pleases Him.
