Starting the last week of October, eligible Galaxy users in the US will be able to hold USDC right inside Samsung Wallet. USDC is a stablecoin, a digital dollar from Circle built to stay worth one dollar. It’s the same app your credit cards are already in. You don’t need to download a separate crypto app, and you don’t have to manage your own private keys. You’ll be able to send money to bank accounts in more than 60 countries, and the person on the other end gets their own local currency. So if you send money home to family every month, this is aimed right at you. Samsung isn’t the bank, and it doesn’t hold your money. Bastion, a licensed custodian overseen by US regulators, runs the accounts. Coinbase keeps the USDC safe for Bastion. Solana and Sui are the networks it runs on. This didn’t come out of nowhere. On October 3rd, 2025, Samsung brought Coinbase One into Samsung Wallet for 75 million US users. Now it’s putting the dollar itself in there. Sending USDC to another crypto wallet is free on Samsung’s side, though the other side might charge. Bank transfers do have fees, and Samsung shows you the fee before you confirm.
