I never understood this. How can you say you love someone but end the relationship because of distance? If you truly love each other, why give up instead of trying to make it work? And if you meet someone closer, how can you genuinely connect with them without feeling guilty knowing you left someone you supposedly loved just because they were far away?

Distance is hard, and love alone isn’t enough. You need communication, commitment, effort, and teamwork. ❤️I’ve been in a long-distance relationship for 1 year and 3 months, and is it easy? Hell no! But we love each other, and we choose to work through our problems and remember why we chose each other. I don’t believe distance alone ends relationships; a lack of commitment or different goals can. So, girl, if it doesn’t work out, let yourself heal. I’m going through the same thing, and it hasn’t been easy. My boyfriend and I have been in a long-distance relationship for two years. He was supposed to come to the States to see me for the first time, but sadly, due to unexpected work circumstances and financial struggles, he wasn’t able to make it. We’re both feeling sad and disappointed because we were really looking forward to finally being together in person. Now, we need to make a realistic plan to avoid anything else getting in the way of our future plans, and hopefully, we’ll finally get to see each other soon. Despite all the challenges we’ve faced, we’ve never given up on each other because we love each other so much. ❤️🥹

I was with someone for almost4 years we broke up 2 months ago because ultimately they wouldn’t compromise. We were long distance, they lived in a whole other country. Don’t do long distance if you aren’t willing to compromise or move!!! Don’t allow yourself to grow feelings without asking these things first!!!!

baby trust me, i get it! him and i broke up because distance was also really tough. when you go from loving someone face to face everyday to having to love them through a screen, it can drive yall mad.. until it drives y’all apart. (this is not ALWAYS the case, hence why it works for some people.) don’t feel bad about the decision.. maybe the future will work out in y’all’s favor🩷
