48MP doesn't show up by default on iPhone. Newer models... Close camera app. Then go to settings, camera, enable apple pro raw. Open camera app. Top left you should see HEIF 24. Tap it then tap 48MP and RAW. Toggle on and off as needed. Pics are 100MB each!!! Ouch
