She’s just a puppy, but she’s already spent more than three months of her young life growing up in a shelter kennel🥺💔 Meet Violet, a sweet 1-year-old German Shepherd mix who has been waiting for a family since the beginning of July 😔 Sadly, we think one of the reasons she’s been overlooked for so long is because of how stressed she becomes in her kennel. She jumps, gets overwhelmed, and doesn’t always make the best first impression. But once you get her outside, you meet a completely different dog❤️‍🩹 After watching Violet spend so much of her puppyhood in a kennel, we decided she deserved a day away from the shelter to decompress, have some fun, and remind her that there’s a whole world waiting for her🥹 🙏 Thanks to one of our wonderful volunteers, Violet got to enjoy a car ride, go shopping, meet new people, enjoy some yummy treats, and even have her very own pup cup! She spent the day being the happy, silly, affectionate puppy we wish everyone could see. She even showed off her famous Violet hugs🥰 Violet is such a loving girl who deserves so much more than this. 🙏 Shes smart, potty trained, silly, loves belly rubs, and is always happy to give you a hug. She’s still young and has so much life ahead of her. ♥️ She can be selective with other dogs, so we recommend a dog meet if you already have a pup at home. Please don’t let Violet spend the rest of her puppyhood growing up in a kennel. She deserves a family, a home, and the chance to enjoy days like this without having to return to the shelter when they’re over. ❤️ If you cannot adopt, please share Violet’s story.
