East San Jo is nun like Oakland lol [Laugh approved] Oakland like Detroit

botchedkiing :

i got brain washed by anti black oakland rhetoric when i was a kid but i grew up and went there and was like oh yall got me fucked up. that place is full of life and culture, just like how essj is/was. so sad the tech bros are running our shit to the ground damn near

Fr I love all the cities but LA 🫩

yougethepoint :

As someone that grew up E$$J frfr, Oakland is nothing like San Jose and vice versa. I love my SJ roots for life but the town felt/feels like home . More community inclusion, better food (Yee I said it ) etc . But ESSJ cinco de mayo will always be in my heart just like first Fridays.
