He hides behind the "businessman" excuse, saying he needs visibility and is building something for her, but he admitted he’s not thinking about feelings at all. Just opportunity. He even pulled out the "I grew up poor" card to justify it, like so many men do. The writing is definitely getting worse, but the one thing they do entirely consistently is that classic male perspective. Every time I think a storyline is moving toward something, it falls apart. Deep thinking on it honestly is a waste of yours and my time because there's nothing deep behind it. The plots just never finish. Give it a few weeks, and David won't even be in the room. We know how this goes—she’s going to get angrier and angrier at David.
