@daltonjamesyt: Out of every Pokémon I could have put inside a giant heart, Sylveon might be the most perfect choice. For this satisfying sand art ASMR piece, I recreated Sylveon using colored sand and surrounded it with a heart-shaped optical line art pattern made from alternating hot pink and black sections. What makes this design interesting is the contrast between the two completely different styles. Sylveon has that soft pastel pink, white, and blue color palette with flowing ribbon-like feelers, while the background is much bolder and more intense. The repeating black and pink lines radiate outward, making the whole heart look almost like it's pulsing around Sylveon. The heart itself was one of the most satisfying parts to create because every narrow section needed to be filled individually. As more pink sand was added between the black lines, the background gradually transformed from disconnected shapes into one giant symmetrical heart. Then Sylveon brought everything together. The bright blue eyes, oversized ears, pink bows, flowing ribbons, and soft body colors create a really nice contrast against the almost neon-looking heart. Even though both parts of the artwork use pink, the different shades and black separation keep Sylveon from disappearing into the background. I love combining Pokémon characters with geometric patterns and optical illusions because the background can completely change the personality of the finished artwork.
