Shelter Observation 8/10: nervous, would look away any time I tried to get its attention. Only, moved for treats I scattered on the floor. 8/10: Iffy, scared, allowed me to get in kennel but doesn’t bark or growl , tail is just tucked. Volunteer Observation 9/7: Medium Energy, Jumpy, Leash Puller, Knows Sit, Pottied Immediately, Calms Down. Groot was calm in his kennel and easy to leash. He does have a bit of reactivity walking past other dogs and can pull a bit on leash. Outside, he had some good energy and was a little bit jumpy, but does settle down. Very motivated and knows sit. He’s a handsome guy who probably could just use a little bit of training. 9/30 Daycation: How did your dog do in the car? Eh, I tolerate riding in the car Which of the following activities did the dog enjoy? Going on a walk, Playing with toys, Lounging around a dog-friendly coffee shop / restaurant / bar, Lounging around an apartment / house How did they interact with strangers? I love meeting new friends! If they saw any cats, how did they react? No cats If they saw any other dogs, how did they react? overly excited when saw dogs If they met any children, how did they react? Great How did I walk on the leash? (Examples: excited/pulling/timid/awesome walker)Very exited, pulling only when he saw a squirrel or other dog How were my manners and do I know any tricks? Jumpy, Learns Quickly, Went to the bathroom immediately (when outside) Did they show any of the additional behaviors listed below? He becomes sexually motivated when he gets too excited and mounts, but he is easily steerable. PG1-Social/RR-Rough & Rowdy 10/23: This dog is social, enters the yard very excited/rough-housing, calms down then prefers gentle play, and takes corrections well.
