@stillrendered: Night video shared on October 15 shows flames burning across dark land in South Kalimantan as Indonesia's wildfire crisis continues. The post says BMKG counted 1,297 high-confidence hotspots on October 14 and that haze in Palangka Raya is hazardous, with children learning from home again. Those figures haven't been independently confirmed, and official counts earlier in October ran about 900 to 1,200 high-confidence hotspots a day. Health authorities have reported 277,075 acute respiratory infection cases in seven affected provinces, and Central Kalimantan has had very unhealthy to hazardous air all month. President Prabowo ordered more resources to fight the fires on October 13.
