I know someone who was briefly in management at DG. That place sounds like even more of a nightmare to work in than shop at. She spent her own money doing things like fixing the door on employee restrooms so they would lock, buying hand soap, fix sinks fixed and getting faulty wiring or fixtures replaced just so there was light in the restroom. She was fired after less than a year when a disgruntled employee faked a series of texts that appeared to show her using racial slurs. Fortunately these faked texts had supposedly come from her work phone and when the store pulled text logs from that phone with the carrier, of course no such messages had been sent. They fired the employee and hired her back. They fired her again a year later for some kind of paperwork issue that she'd warned someone about before it even happed. They told her that she could appeal the firing and possibly get her job back. She told them "No thanks." Worse yet, all of this happened during the worst of Covid, when they had customers forcing their way into the stock room, looking for Clorox wipes, hand sanitizer and gloves. A couple of them even followed her home, accusing her hoarding those items herself. Everything about this place sounds dreadful.

I live in a town of less than 10k people. There are 4 DGs on the same stretch of road. From the first to the fourth is 6.4 miles.

I went to buy 3 for 13 coca cola 12 packs, got 6 total so 26 dollars, plus tax would probably be around 28 or 29 dollars. plus I had the 5 off 25 on Saturday coupon. The cashier told me my total was 36 dollars and was very rude with me. I just left the cart. Its the closest store to me. I live in the country. I quit going because they dont charge what the shelf price says or honor coupons on the app. Also your internet doesn't work once you step into the store, so you cant check the app once you are in there. Its all a scam

It happened to me twice just this week at Kroger. The employee at self check out gave me made up excuses as to why she did not give me the shelf price. Excuses that she just made up off the top of her head. I can’t wait until Aldi gets here.
