I live in Bend, Oregon, here in Central Oregon. It’s a beautiful, peaceful place with around 100,000 people in the area. People are pretty laid-back, the pace of life is relaxed, and it’s a really nice place to live. But honestly, it seems like nowhere is completely safe anymore. If something like that can happen in a place like this, it really makes you realize that it can happen anywhere. No community is completely immune, and that’s especially scary when you think about the safety of our children.

This has to stop! It’s not okay and happens way too often! My son spent months in therapy after being 10–25 feet away from a school shooter, we have to do better. Our kids deserve better!

My high school has 2 officers and I think at least 2 security guards these other schools need this too badly!! May God bless these people😭✝️🤍

I’m so sorry my fellow Oregonians. Bend is such an amazing town. We loved going there and staying at a doctor home. We have been there so many times. Now someone with issues has turned a peaceful town into a nightmare.
