I really questioned if I was going to bother this year. Disrespectful people have worn me down. But there is a family in the neighborhood who has a little boy. He calls my house, the “Spooky House”. They told me he talks about all year long. They have to take him for a walk past my house every night it’s up to see it. I was 99% sure I wasn’t decorating this year. Late September they were out for a walk and they stopped while I was out on the porch. I could hear his parents saying “it’s ok you can ask him.” He asked me when Spook House was coming back. I couldn’t let him down. I told him soon and started work the next week. Not only did I put stuff up, I added to it. I still have stuff coming this week to add. They come by every night and him and his sister are so happy. Many other families have walked by and the kids love it. It’s never going to win awards but if it makes some families happy it makes it worthwhile.

I've always wanted to be " That house" and now I am 🎃 Also, I just wanna put out there, that before social media, Halloween decor was mostly reserved for outside. It was rare for people to decorate the inside of the house for Halloween unless you were having a party. Social media made us pull our decor inside and we need to go back to Halloween being a community celebration 👻

I love watching little kids peeking out of the back windows of car in our neighborhood. There are a few that walk by they'll even ask( if we're outside ) like what we're adding, if the creepy fox guy is back or if I'll have my pumpkin spice fog again this year.... I just love it!!

Every year it gets bigger. Last year we made about 700 Halloween candy bags and went through them all. This year we're doing 900 bags with a blowup Halloween maze.

I started early June to prepare for Halloween. Even though I genuinely enjoyed building it myself, it makes me smile when people come and walk my yard and appreciate all the work I did. feel great. Great video man.

This is my front yard for Halloween. I don't make a lot of money, as I work on a special needs school. I always make sure to have 500 full size candy bars for the kids that I get on Halloween. Its alot of work to do but every kid deserve to have a great experience.
