it was so hard to not cry while editing this 🥹 it took me 72 hours to pack, 2 weeks to recover and funnily enough, 72 hours to edit this haha 😂 i hope you enjoy this labour of love. leaving my apartment is bittersweet but i’m excited for this new era and what’s to come. i hope you stay along for the journey 🫶🏾🥹🫂

I’m 42 and I understand how hard it is to feel like you’re taking a step back — I moved in with my dad three months into the pandemic because my mental health was crashing out. He died this year and that last run of us living together is a very sweet memory now.

Aww as a mama to everyone in the comments yes please lean on your parents. You are never a burden, never too old to come back and learn to get it right in a way that speaks to you. You are strong for coming home and leaning on your parents and I hope you have the safety to flourish in a way that allows you to grow. As a mama I hope my babies do come back to me when they’re adults and lean on me. It’ll be the most wonderful gift because it means I’ll have made them feel safe enough to lean on me ❤️

It used to be normal for families to stay together. That’s why in-law suites became a thing. So, try to let go of any embarrassment or shame. The people who told us a successful adulthood means buying our own homes are probably the same ones who monopolize the market.

From a 48 yo lady I recognize every single day how hard it is for young people like yourself nowadays. I don’t know how any young person can get a good start like I was able to at 25,30. There’s no shame in moving back home. You will get back out when the time is right. But right now times are not right.

I’m so proud of you!!! My husband and I plus our 3 fur babies are living with my in laws. It can be tough sometimes, but I’m so grateful to have our family for safety. It doesn’t have to be forever, it can be temporary. Whatever you need. Sending you so much love 💕

I thank you for this video because I’m going through something similar. Selling everything to leave the country and go back to my parents’ home because I got laid off and I have severe ADHD that is unmedicated. It helps seeing other people manage to do it. Wish you all the best!
