This week hurt. I gave back almost $1,000. A few months ago, this probably would’ve wrecked me emotionally. This time… it didn’t. Don’t get me wrong. I’m disappointed. I hate giving back profits that took time and discipline to build. I even saw opportunities later in the day where I probably could’ve made some of it back. But I also knew where my head was. And I chose not to trade. Looking back, I think that was the real win. Because profitable traders don’t just know when to get in. They know when not to. I’ve also been thinking a lot about something I shared recently… Trading, like so many things in life, gives us the opportunity to learn the same lessons over and over again. Not because we’re failing. Because each time we come back to the lesson, we have the chance to meet it with a little more awareness. A little more discipline. A little more emotional maturity. This week reminded me that the goal isn’t to avoid losing weeks. Even consistently profitable traders have losing days, losing weeks, and losing months. The goal is to limit the damage. To protect your capital. To journal honestly. To review your trades without making excuses. To take the lesson instead of carrying the shame. And then… Start fresh the next day. The market doesn’t care what happened yesterday. Neither should your next trade. That’s the growth I’m celebrating. Not that I had a bad week. That I’m becoming someone who can have a bad week… learn from it… and keep going. Happy trading. 🌿 #futures #tradingfutures #protectyourprofits #daytradingjourney #FemaleTrader
