The Tanaka family has been on that land for over 100 years. They have struggled to survive Irvine growing around them. They also bring education about agriculture to local schools. They do have a website that you could have looked at before going to be more informed about where you are going and the prices they charge

Aww, maybe it’s just not for you. I go every year and I don’t mind spending money because I just love walking around the farm, taking pictures, and getting food at the stands. It really boils down to your personal preference and what you’re willing to spend money on. Let’s not bash small businesses just because YOU’RE not willing to spend money there 🥰

Yep, total scam. Just got back from Avila Valley Farm: free admission, feed the animals for $3, walk the actual farm for free. Delicious pies, produce, etc. And it's way more beautiful than Tanaka.

Most pumpkin patches arent farms, they literally buy pumpkin and throw them all over the field. This is an actual farm and use this time to make money to SUPPORT their farm. Next time go to frosty pumpkin patch in chino hills, entrance is $5 but you still need to purchase tickets and pumpkins it’s not all inclusive 😂😂

I love Tanaka Farms! They do so much for both the local and non local community. Your admission fee helps make it possible for seniors, students, and low-income families across SoCal who might not otherwise be able to afford it to experience the pumpkin patch too. My elderly mom lives 30+ miles away and her senior center recently took them to the farm, where everyone got to pick a pumpkin for free! 🎃 How lovely is that??

It’s a business not a scam. I don’t know what kind of world y’all live in but I’d never go to your place of work and say you’re getting paid too much. Everyone’s complaining about cost of living and everything being expensive but how much do you think it costs to run an entire farm? If we don’t support businesses like theses were not going to have any. All the pumpkin patches are going to be corporate owned and run like a fast food joint.

Tanaka Farms is in Irvine California. Do you know how much Irvine California is? There’s lots to do at the farm there’s more than 30 different things for kids to do that’s free and your kids get to run around and play. I think it’s a great experience.
