Millennials and Gen Z are seeing higher rates of several cancers than previous generations. Meanwhile, ultra processed foods make up more than half the calories most Americans eat. Fast food is packed with refined seed oils, additives, sugars, and ingredients designed for shelf life and cravings, not health. No one has a clean answer for why cancer keeps rising in younger people, but the diet shift of the last few decades keeps showing up in the research. They decided to skip it.
