@educatorhobbs: Instructional coaches, before you volunteer to model another lesson, make sure you have a PROCESS in place! 👀 Modeling should never be just walking into a teacher's classroom, teaching a great lesson, and leaving. Start with a coaching conversation. Co-plan the lesson. Give the teacher a focused observation form so they're collecting evidence instead of simply watching. Model the agreed-upon strategy. Then debrief, give the teacher an opportunity to practice, and follow up to see how the strategy is impacting student learning. The goal isn't for the teacher to say, "That was a great lesson!" The goal is for the teacher to say, "I understand how to do that, and I'm ready to try it myself." That's how modeling builds teacher capacity.
