they do Mourne after my mum died we took her dog in , she waited by the door for 3 days thinking mummy was coming back to pick her up from us , she looked every day for months where my mum used to park the car to drop her off at ours , and she howled like this at the front door 😭

The howls of sorrow and grief. The sadness in his eyes. Animals grieve like humans when they suffer a loss or when something traumatic happens. They can't speak, but you can tell by their eyes and expressions. And they will seem to be doing somewhat better and then have a dream, see a dog toy from their loved or a memory comes to them and they feel so sad again. We comfort them, hug them, talk to them in a soothing voice. And just be there for them
