let go of my pride, or accept that the way I have been living needs to change. There are moments when I want God to comfort me without correcting me, to bless me without asking me to grow, and to give me what I desire without challenging my heart. But I must remember that the Lord’s discipline is not something I should automatically reject. Scripture says, “For whom the LORD loveth he correcteth; even as a father the son in whom he delighteth.” Proverbs 3:12. When God reveals my mistakes through His Word and calls me to turn away from sin, I should not harden my heart. I should be grateful that He is teaching me to walk in His truth rather than leaving me to follow every desire of my own. Being happy in discipline does not mean I must enjoy every painful moment of correction. It means learning to value what the Lord is producing in me through it. His discipline can teach me patience when I want everything immediately, humility when pride begins to grow, and obedience when my flesh wants to take control. I must be willing to learn instead of becoming defensive whenever I am shown that something needs to change. I cannot grow in righteousness if I refuse to acknowledge my faults. When God’s Word exposes my sin, I want to see it as an opportunity to repent and draw closer to Him, not as a reason to run away in shame. I know His correction may be uncomfortable, but I would rather be corrected and grow than remain trapped in the same patterns because I refused to listen. I want a heart that welcomes His wisdom and trusts that His ways are better than my own. Lord Jesus, teach me to receive Your discipline with humility and gratitude. When You reveal my faults, help me listen instead of making excuses. When correction hurts my pride, remind me that growing in righteousness is more important than protecting my ego. Give me the wisdom to understand what You are teaching me and the courage to make the changes I need to make. Help me distinguish Your loving correction from the condemnation and shame that keep me from seeking You. I do not want to resist Your truth or become comfortable in my sins. Shape my character, strengthen my faith, and teach me to obey You even when the process is difficult. Thank You for Your patience with me and for the opportunity to grow through Your guidance. May I become more humble, more faithful, and more like You each day. In Jesus’ name, Amen #christ #jesussaves #believeinjesus #christianrelatable #christiantok
