grief sucks ass but its also weirdly beatiful and reminds you that what you had was real and beatiful and raw. it also reminds us about everyone we lost along the road and the good times we had with them. also it personally (as an archaeology student that has thus nade death my whole thing) reminds me of our ancestors feeling the same things on the same earth under the same moon for hundreds of thousands of years. we aal love and grief and it binds us as humans together.

It’s been 19 yrs on 14/10., our sons are now 23 an 20, he was just 34. I still only sleep on the right side of the bed, have a bottle of his signature scent and I still miss him.

When my wife passed away in 2020 I made a list of everything I could remember about her I never wanted to forget the little things. I often look back at the list and it makes me smile I am so glad I have that. It does get easier the pain lessens and the happy memories stay.
