@spee_jay7: Azerbaijani artist Tünzale Memmedzade created an extraordinary handcrafted edition of the Holy Qur’an by writing its entire text on transparent black silk using gold and silver ink. The remarkable project took three years to complete and required approximately 50 metres of delicate silk. Inspired by her research into the historical materials used in Qur’anic manuscripts, Memmedzade chose silk for its distinctive qualities and carefully transcribed the sacred text using an officially approved Turkish edition as her reference. Her work has attracted international attention, including an exhibition at the Smithsonian’s Arthur M. Sackler Gallery. The creation brings together Islamic calligraphic tradition, artistic patience, and a deep appreciation for the beauty of the Holy Qur’an.
