@catholicbrian: WE AREN’T CATHOLIC BECAUSE EVERYONE IS HOLY We remain Catholic because Christ is holy, and He continues to work through imperfect people. I’ve come to realise that our priests are human too. They have struggles, fears, weaknesses and burdens that we may never see. And yet, despite their imperfections, they have said yes to a life of service to Christ and His Church. Think about that for a moment. When we fall into the same sin for the hundredth time, it is through the ministry of a priest that Christ welcomes us back in the confessional. And at every Mass, through those same imperfect hands, Christ gives us the greatest gift of all: Himself in the Holy Eucharist. My friends, before we criticise our priests, let us remember to pray for them. They need our prayers just as much as we need theirs. The Church is not a museum of saints, but a home for sinners being made holy by the grace of God. May we never forget that.
