I’m pro 2 a but also pro background check but a background check law still will not stop this!!!! Why don’t people get that? There’s a black market for everything - if someone wants a gun they’re gonna get it no matter what laws exist.

We were at Costco with our 8 year old daughter. As we were sitting and eating our pizza I catch her looking around and she asked “I wonder where we would hide if there was an intruder in here?” I wanted to cry.

I decided to homeschool my daughter in kindergarten this year because of uvalde in 2022. She was 8months old at the time. Today just solidified my decision yet again. Those poor babies 🥺

Those parents at that school had the same mornings with their kids that many of us did, but very very different evenings. And what did those babies do to deserve to get ambushed in a safe space that they’re legally required to be at? wtf are we as parents supposed to do except cry? 😭

I was international faculty in NC for two years, and in my first week, staff were discussing a "Code Red" drill. I thought this meant a fire drill. My US colleagues could not believe we don't have them in Ireland, and I was equally incredulous. Also, charging for the type of food available for school lunches was another culture shock.
