I’m so incredibly saddened by this. I have kids close to those ages. My most deepest condolences to all those mourning the loss of their babies and to the ones who lost that teacher. We should not be living in fear, like this.

I’m tired of this happening, this is America we have the means to protect our children. Put our money towards making these schools safer for children. This ridiculous. How many more children do we have to lose before something is done. I want my grandchildren to feel safe at school.

I’ve lived in bend for 12 years, this town has been broken today. I was born & raised in CT, nannying at the time of Newtown. Today raised a lot of the same feelings that I felt back on that sad day. I’m praying for these families tonight and I’m incredibly proud of our community.

UK here but has lived in the US, every time I am in the US I am shocked at how open and accessible the schools are. In the UK they have fences outside the school so you cannot get in without being let in by a staff member who can see you on camera. You cannot drive into the school to park or visit the school without permission.
