He's perfect in ways I don't think he'll ever understand. It's in the way he talks, the way he laughs, the little things about his personality that make him different from everyone else. It's in his smile, his eyes, and the way he can make an ordinary moment feel like something I'll remember for the rest of my life. And the worst part is, I don't think I'm only in love with the idea of him. I think I'm in love with the person he actually is. I've noticed the little things. I've memorized the things I like about him without even trying. Somehow, he became the person I look forward to talking to, the person who crosses my mind when nothing else is happening, the person I wish I could tell everything to. Sometimes I wonder what it would feel like to be loved by him. To know that when he smiles at his phone, it's because of a message from me. To be the person he misses, the person he chooses, the person he looks at and thinks, that's who I want. But then reality reminds me that I can see a thousand beautiful things in him, and he still might never see anything romantic in me. And that hurts in a way I don't know how to explain. Because how do you stop wanting someone who seems to have everything you've ever looked for? How do you convince yourself to let go when nothing about them makes you want to leave?
