@samantha.huston: This piece holds a very special place in my heart! For decades, Marshall has hosted the Missouri (and often the National) Corn Husking competition. As kids, we’d attend the infamous “corn pile money hunt” where a whistle blows and kids rifle through a giant bin of corn kernels to find coins. And as an adult I’ve learned to appreciate the long-standing sentimental value of this competition—seeing families come together to celebrate a generational tradition. #cornhusking #farmers #corn #missouri #artwork
