Porsche said they want it to be a permanent model, positioned above the 911, but below the 918. It is not a 918 successor. Think of it as Porsche's answer to the Aventador/Revuelto or SF90/849Test. There will still be a 918 successor, this is not it.

you might be the problem man. the mission s is an in-between the 911 GT trim and their hypercars (918 spyder and CGT). it’s their supercar trim. additionally, it’s a throwback to a few porsche cars. 959, 911 GT1, i think 919 evo, side profile of 918 spyder too. if you’re expectation is a hypercar, you’ll be disappointed

Porsche have binned the idea of limited edition halo Hypercars.. the 918 is the last pure hypercar that Porsche will make for a while the mission S is gonna be a Normal production vehicle over the 911 lineup
