the only good thing that came out of the AI era is that nobody gives a fuck about wether you use references, Loomis method, trace a photograph you took, etc. at this point making something yourself however is a flex.

historically people literally used to copy art pieces to get better at drawing, idk what the use of the whole war on using references was for, people just wanted others to shoot themselves in the foot I swear 😭😭😭 also before I read the caption I didn't even notice you used a reference its FIIIINE bro 🤤🤤

Just wanted to say Im looking at this again, I’ve watched it like 100 times. Also I was so entranced by the art I payed little attention to the text 😭 but if you feel that way you can always take pictures yourself/use 3D models as reference. Still, I don’t think there’s anything wrong with taking inspiration from a popular image. But I do understand the feeling, I don’t want people to know exactly what image I used for reference, it feels like I’m creatively bankrupt.

It's a lot easier when you realize there is almost no real original thought or idea and that's okay, using references is much better for you in the long term anyway
