Acting Hack: STORYTELLING - The core idea here is to rehearse you scene as if you are talking to friend at a bar recounting the event in great detail. The storyteller isn’t merely reciting lines; instead, they’re embodying the story, fully immersing themselves in the emotions and perspectives of each character. By tapping into their own character’s thoughts and interpreting those of others from the point of view of your character which you are embodying as you recount the details of the scene/event. The storyteller creates a dynamic exchange, allowing the subtext and story narrative to unfold naturally. In this process, rehearsal becomes more than memorization. It’s about feeling each moment as it arises, engaging actively with each thought and reaction. This approach fosters a sense of connection to the scene/event and from you the actor/character get emotionally involved without even trying., as you and the listener become absorbed in the tale together. This rehearsal exercise forces the actor to “leave no stone unturned” because the listener does not know the details of the scene/event. The actor has to relay the scene in minute detail in order for the listener to understand completely. And when the actor does that they become intimately connected to the scene. Memorization of lines start to arrive naturally because you get underneath the scene’s subtext and inner thoughts which motivate the lines. #acting #actingchallenge #actingvideo #actingskills #actingtips #actingtips
