@footballfanpage886: 🚨Sergio Ramos on Cristiano Ronaldo's claim that he's the greatest of all time because the numbers speak for themselves: 🗣️Reporter: "Sergio, you've played with Ronaldo and Messi and faced them as opponents. What do you make of Cristiano's statement?" 🎙️Sergio Ramos: "Listen, I've played with both of them, so I think I'm in a good position to talk about this. I played with Cristiano at his peak at Real Madrid, when he was our main source of goals. He delivered in the biggest matches, and no one can take that away from him. "But I also played with Messi at Paris Saint-Germain. He wasn't at the same stage of his career as he was at Barcelona, but I saw things in training that were simply unbelievable. His vision, his passes, the way he understands the game before everyone else—sometimes, you had to stop and just marvel at him. 🗣️Reporter: "So you're frustrated by Ronaldo's comments?" 🎙️Sergio Ramos: "A little, yes [laughs]. Not because he thinks he's the best, but because he builds the argument as if goals are the only thing that matters. "Cristiano's goal-scoring numbers are exceptional. But football isn't just about scoring goals. What about creating chances, delivering key passes to teammates, controlling matches and making things happen when no one else sees the opening? "Cristiano gives you goals at an unbelievable level. Messi gives you goals, assists, creativity, and playmaking. That's the full package." "And I'm saying this as someone who lived alongside both players up close, not as someone who only watched them on TV." 🗣️Reporter: "You've defended both of them. Who was harder to stop?" 🎙️Sergio Ramos: "Against Cristiano [laughs], you know the danger he'll bring inside the penalty area. Give him the right pass or clearance, and he'll punish you right away. "But Messi at his peak? That was a whole different problem. He could drop back into midfield, shake off defenders, create chances and score himself. You could do everything right defensively, and yet he'd find a way somehow. "I've tried to stop Messi at his peak many times, and everyone knows how those stories usually ended!" "That's the difference. Against Cristiano, you're worried about what he'll do when the ball reaches him. Against Messi, you're worried about what he'll create before the ball even reaches him." 🗣️Reporter: "So what would you say to Cristiano?" 🎙️Sergio Ramos: "I hold Cristiano in the highest regard. I played alongside him, I know his mentality, and I know what he contributed to Real Madrid. But you can't reduce football to a goals column. "We're talking about Messi while he's still here, with everything he's achieved right in front of our eyes. Why ignore the full picture just to argue over one statistic?" "I've played with them, celebrated with them, faced them. Cristiano made scoring look inevitable. Messi made the impossible look ordinary. And if you've played against them, you understand why this distinction matters." @SergioRamos
