@bbsportstraining: Happened So Fast 💥 Victor Mesa Jr. Turns a First Pitch Sweeper into 401 Feet 💣 Top of the 6th, two outs, and Max Fried spins a sweeper that never gets off the middle of the plate. It shows up at 3 feet off the ground, zone 2, on pitch one of the at bat. Mesa Jr. was ready for it. 107.3 off the bat, 401 feet to right center, Junior Caminero scoring ahead of him. Slow it down and watch the barrel. It gets on plane early and stays behind the ball, so a pitch with 18.2 inches of sweep never has the time to run off it. That is what being on time looks like against a lefty spinning 2,926 rpm. 📊 The damage: ◼️ Victor Mesa Jr., Tampa Bay Rays (bats left) | two run home run ◼️ Exit Velocity: 107.3 mph ◼️ Launch Angle: 34° ◼️ Distance: 401 ft to right center ◼️ Pitcher: Max Fried, New York Yankees (LHP) ◼️ Pitch: 77.9 mph sweeper, 70.2 mph at the plate ◼️ Location: middle of the plate, 3.0 ft off the ground, zone 2 ◼️ Movement: 18.2 inches of sweep ◼️ Spin: 2,926 rpm ◼️ Count: 0-0, two outs, top of the 6th, October 7 👇 First pitch sweeper over the middle to a lefty.
