not canon imo. his grieving mother brought him.back using magic from evil dead book the necronomicon in "Jason goes to hell" although them making the program "argonaut " and his name being Jason, a reference to the Greek story, "Jason and the argonauts" was kinda neat.

Thought he was just randomly back โaliveโ from drowning in the lake like decades later based on him being so angry wanting revenge and ends up killing anyone at the lake cus heโs blinded with rageโฆ and that it was some supernatural evilโฆ like how it is with Freddy coming back after being burned to death. Granted Freddy was actually evil prior to death and Jason was just a bullied kid. Iโm no super fan but I thought it was always just open ended to being some type of supernatural with Jason.
