@wmcactionnews5: Questions remain about the Tennessee Highway Patrol’s pursuit policy as a wave of crashes tied to THP pursuits is top of mind in the Bluff City. In the past eight months, there have been more than a dozen wrecks, several deadly, as a result of high-speed chases locally. #news #crime #thp #memphissafetaskforce #pursuit

Carmen CaBoom :

THP’s policy is just fine. If anything, they should add the PIT Maneuver, like how Arkansas State Police move.

THE SIMPLE THING TO DO IS JUST LIKE FLORIDA DOES GET A CHOPPER IN THE AIR FOLLOW THEM UNTIL THEY GET TO WHERE THEY ARE GOING THEN CALL IN THE TROOPS ITS NEVER THAT SERIOUS TO UNALIVE OVER A DOZEN PEOPLE WHILE TRYING TO PROVE A DAMN POINT. Where the hell are our choppers at.

The discipline isn’t good enough. Especially if Nobody’s charged or sued

Tallenshaver :

Well maybe don’t run from thp

Blackwolf :

To pursue or not, and to call off a pursuit, are judgement calls that the pursuing officer should make. The obvious problem is that they lack good judgement to make the right decision *BEFORE* risking the lives of innocent civilian bystanders.

gingerclark400 :

All this would do is make more criminals decide to try and out run them if they know they have to stop pursuit.

joe20181 :

yeah!!! clean up this shithole!!!
