i’m a pianist. before, i didn’t have a good position at my job so i couldn’t afford proper lessons. back then, i decided to compete with people around me, rely on my ear, and watch youtube tutorials, and with that i improved really fast on the piano. eventually, i also moved up at work and it pays really well now. i even bought the piano i always wanted, but now that i have a better position, i have to travel constantly for work. i might have financial stability now but i don’t have the energy or time to practice and look for new songs, so i’m progressing slower, but i know it’s temporary.
