@khalilthmpsn: Released on March 24, 2017, Power Rangers reimagined the legendary superhero team for a new generation. Inspired by the original Mighty Morphin Power Rangers television series from 1993, the film blended science fiction, ancient mythology, teenage drama, and superhero action into a darker origin story. The movie begins millions of years in the past, when Zordon leads a team of Power Rangers to protect Earth and the powerful Zeo Crystal. Rita Repulsa, once a member of the team and the Green Ranger, betrays her allies in an attempt to claim the Crystal’s power. To stop her, Zordon sacrifices himself and triggers a meteor strike that destroys the ancient battlefield. Rita is defeated, and the Power Coins are scattered across the planet. In the present day, five teenagers—Jason Scott, Kimberly Hart, Billy Cranston, Trini Kwan, and Zack Taylor—discover the ancient Power Coins near Angel Grove. Their discovery awakens extraordinary abilities and draws them into a conflict far older than humanity. Under the guidance of Zordon, whose consciousness survives within an alien command center, the teenagers must learn to work together and accept their destiny as Earth’s new defenders. As Rita returns to pursue the Zeo Crystal, the teenagers struggle to master their powers and overcome their personal differences. Their journey culminates in a battle against Rita’s monstrous creation, Goldar, where they unite their Zords to form the Megazord and save Angel Grove. Starring Dacre Montgomery, Naomi Scott, RJ Cyler, Becky G, and Ludi Lin, alongside Elizabeth Banks as Rita Repulsa and Bryan Cranston as Zordon, the film offered a modern reinterpretation of the original franchise. Although it introduced a new cinematic universe and teased Tommy Oliver’s arrival as the Green Ranger, plans for a direct sequel never materialized. Despite its mixed commercial results, Power Rangers (2017) remains a distinctive reimagining of a beloved 1990s franchise, exploring the origins of its heroes, the consequences of betrayal, and the power of unity. #powerrangers #comic #popculture
