That was me. He’s literally so right. I was getting wasted and still inviting God. And FINALLY, my desires started to slowly changed. I was so tired of that lifestyle. I was getting bored, it wasn’t fulfilling anymore. And the next day just wasn’t worth it. IT. TAKES. TIME. But it will happen. Whenever, or however long it takes, GOD will change your desires.

I think this is actually decent advice... with one thing to keep in mind... this must not lead to using Jesus' sacrifice as a license to sin. It feels like this could be dangerous to those who are brand new in their faith.

Just worded really bad but I understand .. Trying to beat the sin on your own is nearly impossible (example lust) leaning on the Lord to more and more will lead you away from the sin without you falling back into it.

Come as you are. don't let your earthly afflictions get in the way of focusing on Jesus. it will come in time. I still struggle every day. but I cannot and will not let that get in the way of my faith and belief in God. healing doesn't happen over night. it's a process. Focus on Jesus and it will come in time. have faith and have patience. I love you all.
