this is a horrible take. now that there’s 24 teams able to make the playoffs, teams will schedule tougher opponents because you can lose a couple of games and still make the playoffs and win. in any other sport you don’t have to be perfect in the regular season. and the take that “it doesn’t matter” is so stupid. i promise you no team is going into a game with that mindset

The playoffs provide these 24 teams from all conferences to face off with each other instead of just your own conference through the whole season. It’ll settle the debate on what conference is actually the best that year as all the top teams will be in the playoffs beating each other up. There are pros and cons, but it’ll at least decide which conference was actually the best that year.

ok so possibly the top 2 teams may rest players but now the regular season means even more, all those 3 loss teams have hope going into the final games. its still college upsets happen and now with more opportunity more can happen. bowl season was ruined when the top nfl prospects started sitting out the bowl games to keep their draft stock high and avoid injury.

What I don’t get is why is sooooo many people against the playoff? NFL has been that way for decades, what’s the difference? NCAA basketball has been a playoff for decades! It’s like you just don’t like change.

I disagree. I've seen way too many seasons where a teams only loss cost them and the only reason they lost was because their starting quarterback was out that week. the bowl games imo was the dumbest thing to exist.

It’s not ruined. The problem is some teams have much tougher games and not everyone plays the same teams. This allows for more/better games at the end of season, no more meaningless bowls, players sitting out, more home game opportunities for some. College football isn’t ruined, just changed. The NIL insanity ruined the sport more than this. If you love football, why not enjoy more games and better matchups

ok Bruh. u need to take a breath. Last yr 3 good teams were left out so that JMU , TULANE, and a limping Alabama team with no running game. half of the SEC teams suc. Then u have a committee that tells u. You won't get punish for losing conference games. yet. Osu drop indiana moved up, georgia moved up, AM move up, ND out, BYU OUT how hypitical are we.

It still matters your not going to walk in it with 4 losses plus it gives other teams a chance to make money for nil to keep up with someone other schools and if they suck guess what it will show and they will lose and the school that wins gets more money for nil. People are just scared to have a team willing to play there heart out to beat a team that’s just going to over look them
