some people read the quran with open hearts and minds, accepting its the words of allah and accept it wholeheartedly. but some people try to fit it in their own mindset, biases, what they believe is right. when quran doesn't fit what they like then they reject it

I used to say that we went to the madrassa to learn the essence and essential of what's in the Quran and what it's teaches within the religion, prescribed to us which is islam...we learned sirah of the prophets and history of sahaba ..names of great sahaba and we keep learning by reading....and when we read the translation of the Quran we know that most of it we know already ....so its not about knowing the meaning of the words ,but implementing the do and don't that we learned...... and reciting the Quran daily as a spiritual thing that makes one more attached to it......its a virtue to read a d to k ow the Quran.....

Read, think, ponder , understand the message and apply Allah's laws and commands. Its a way of life. Reciting only is not beneficial.
