Apparently, watching me on TV wasn't enough; we needed to establish that I actually exist in real life. But that moment got me thinking about something else. I've been thinking a lot about the role of believers, particularly prophets, in the building of nations. About the fact that we cannot separate what God is saying and doing from what is happening in government, business, media, policy and the other spheres shaping our societies. We are not called to only observe what happens in our nations. We are called to help shape them. And for those who hear from God, there is a responsibility to carry that insight into the places where decisions are made and the future is being determined.
