@user609306143323: Will Holcomb spent 15 years bringing one story to life while raising six children, working as a software engineer, and juggling a life full of other responsibilities. But the hardest part wasn't starting his book series. It was finding the courage to finish it. The Texas-based author wasn't always confident in his writing. After working as an elementary school teacher, he earned a master's degree in computer science and built a career in software engineering. For years, he struggled with what he called impostor syndrome, believing he wasn't really a writer. Then came The Infinite Jeff, a four-part spiritual fiction series that would change how readers saw his work. Holcomb said the first draft seemed to pour out of him almost on its own. Editing, however, proved much harder. The final installment, Connection, took seven years to complete because he worried about finding an ending worthy of the first three books. "I spent most of my life ignoring the stories in my head because I didn't realize that wasn't normal," he admitted. Eventually, he pushed through his doubts. The series later won a Gold Medal in the 2023 Global Book Awards and drew comparisons to The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho. But Holcomb's goal was never simply to tell readers how to live. He wanted them to discover their own meaning through the characters and their journey. One reader described finishing the series as bittersweet, like the end of a wonderful vacation, wishing she had read more slowly. After 15 years, Holcomb proved that a dream doesn't have to happen quickly to be worth pursuing. Sometimes, the story you're afraid to tell is the one someone else needs to read. Would you keep working on a dream for 15 years, even when you doubted yourself? \#WillHolcomb #TheInfiniteJeff #AuthorStory #BookLovers #nevergiveup
