@becoming.murphy: The Happiest Place on Earth… with some of my favorite people on Earth. For two days, we got to forget about the outside world. The bills. The responsibilities. The stress. The things waiting for us back home. For two days, we were just a group of friends running around Disneyland, laughing until our stomachs hurt, screaming on rides, making ridiculous memories, and letting ourselves feel like kids again. But what made this trip so special wasn’t where we went. It was who I got to share it with. These are the people who came into my life when I needed them most. The ones who have seen me at my lowest, who sat with me in the dark until I found my light again. And along the way, we became that for each other. We laugh together. We cry together. We show up for each other. And when life gets heavy, we find ways to help carry the weight. There was a moment on Grizzly River Run that I’ll probably remember long after this trip. We were getting tossed around, splashed with water, absolutely soaked, and laughing uncontrollably. And in the middle of all that chaos, I looked around at my friends. I saw their smiles. Heard their laughter. And all I could think was, I’m so lucky to have these people in my life. Because I know some of the things life has thrown at them, too. And seeing them happy again, even for just that moment, meant more to me than I could explain. It’s funny how a silly water ride can remind you so much about life. You can’t always avoid the bumps. Sometimes you get soaked. Sometimes you have no idea what’s coming around the next turn. But when you’re surrounded by the right people, even the roughest rides can become memories you look back on with a smile. Maybe that’s what friendship really is. Not having someone who can promise you a smooth ride… But having people who will hold on, get soaked, and laugh through it with you. 🥹🩶 They call Disneyland the Happiest Place on Earth. And for two days, it really was. But I think I’ve learned something. Sometimes the happiest place on Earth isn’t a place at all. It’s being surrounded by people who make you forget, even for a little while, how heavy life can be. To my favorite people… Thank you for sitting with me in the dark.
