I genuinely couldn’t believe how much financial aid I was able to receive for college 😳🎓 Before I really understood FAFSA, I thought financial aid was pretty simple: you fill out the application, they tell you what you qualify for, and that’s it. I also used to think Pell Grants and other forms of financial aid were only available to a very small group of students. Once I actually started learning how the process worked, paying attention to my financial aid offers, checking my student portal, understanding deadlines, and learning what different types of aid meant, I realized how much I DIDN’T know. That’s a huge reason I started posting these videos. There are students going to college right now who don’t fully understand what they’re being offered, what a Pell Grant is, what needs to be paid back versus what doesn’t, or what they should do when their financial situation changes. And please understand: the amount you see in my video is MY personal financial aid experience. FAFSA doesn’t guarantee everyone the same amount. Your eligibility depends on your individual circumstances, your school, the award year, available aid, and other factors. But here’s something else I’ve learned from being a college student: Getting financial aid doesn’t magically make all your other expenses disappear. 😭 You still have food. Gas. Transportation. Books. Random school expenses. And everything else life decides to throw at you. 😂 That’s why, besides learning how financial aid works, I’ve also been experimenting with different ways to make some extra money from things I’m already doing. One of them is an app called Gradi. I already go out to eat. I already take pictures of my food. Gradi lets me post the food I’m eating and potentially earn money from my content. And yes — I’ve personally used it and actually received a payout. I’m not saying Gradi replaces a job, FAFSA, Pell Grants, scholarships, or anything else. And I’m not promising anybody a specific amount of money. I’m just documenting something I’m personally using alongside everything else I talk about as a college student. If you want me to send you the Gradi link, DM me the word “GRADI” 👀 Seriously, just send: GRADI and I’ll know exactly what you’re asking for. 😂 And if you’re here because of the FAFSA video, follow @TheGrantGenius because I’m going to keep breaking down FAFSA, Pell Grants, financial aid, scholarships, and ways college students can be smarter with money. 🎓💰 #FAFSA
