As someone who nearly died last year and was the front of the line, you never ever want to be front of the line. It sucks waiting hours and hours in pain and being scared of what’s going on, but you never ever want to be first

I’ve waited in an ER for as long as 6 hours and I’ve lowkey thought the same shit. A guy could die and the reaction time to find out would be insanely slow.

ER waiting rooms look like this mainly because of two things, 1.) hospital admits will sit in an ER room for days on end and 2.) people will check in for things they absolutely should not be in the ER for.

Both realistic and unrealistic; chest pains typically get bumped to top of the list in emergent situations, the ER wait time and frustrations are pretty realistic though not always that crowded

I was in the er waiting room for almost 8 hours babbling with a 105.9 fever on Christmas… I was too out of my mind to really care though.
